Emergency Cast Iron Replacement

Since inception the members of Elko, Eureka and White Pine counties have helped build and support the Committee Against Domestic Violence (CADV) also known as Elko Harbor House.  We have been the only domestic violence shelter for more than two decades for those counties.  In the mid-90s the building was constructed using cast iron piping.

Typically the original cast iron plumbing method was used inside houses built in the 1930s and 1940s far surpassing the end of their lifespan. Extreme weather changes, type of soil, and water quality will also affect plumbing longevity.  Additionally issues such as but not limited to certain trees, root systems, raw earth/ foundation construction and age can all be factors to the spread of decay in the plumbing system and damage the pipes.

We write to ask you to support our organization once again this year with a donation to our emergency need in replacing the original corroding cast iron pipes that were used throughout the entire building.

Each year, our organization assists an average of 200+ individuals in our community with your help and without that help this would not be possible. Donations help sustain our organization and benefit the community which we serve.

You can simply contact us by calling: 775-738-6524 or P.O. Box 2531 Elko, NV 89803

Thank you in advance for your support!
